Lasso Socks vs. Ankle Tape: Which One is More Effective?

WE'VE ALL SEEN ankle taping in the pros. It's been statistically proven to help prevent injury, and of course, it would be fantastic to have a professional trainer or physical therapist with us at all times to apply medical tape to our ankles properly.

After all, if you are doing this yourself, not only does it take time, but if you don't do it correctly, you're losing a lot of the benefits. Plus ankle tape can reduce range of motion and some studies show that restrictive taping can reduce performance.

On top of that, ankle tape has been shown to loosen within 10 minutes, and after 30 minutes, it provides no support at all. So if you went through all of the work of taping your ankles, it doesn't even last until halftime, or past warmups during practice.

The compression in Lasso was created to simulate ankle tape. That means we provide support in the same areas as ankle tape, and we do it using our patented compression technology. Our socks are designed so that the compression doesn't go away - even after washing. And because we use compression, we don't limit range of motion.

We're not claiming to replace professional ankle taping here. But we are saying that Lasso gives you support in all the same areas, without limiting your movement or fading over time.
